Brian E. O’Toole, CEO of BlackSky, discussed the company’s software-first, AI-driven approach, highlighting its potential to enhance commercial space-based moving target detection, tracking, and identification capabilities at machine speed.
The project will leverage BlackSky’s proprietary Spectra® tasking and analytics platform, utilizing both internal and third-party data. Through various AI and machine learning techniques, the aim is to optimize tasking, multi-INT collection, automatic tipping-and-cueing, direct downlink, and moving target engagement processing timelines within a simulated exercise environment.
O’Toole emphasized the adaptability of BlackSky Spectra in resource-limited settings, showcasing its ability to fuse information from multiple government ISR and commercial data sources seamlessly.
