Helsinki-based satellite company, ReOrbit, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru’s SatSure and its subsidiary KaleidEO as announced earlier this week. The partnership aims to propel the development of cutting-edge solutions to address evolving market demands in the Earth Observation (EO) industry.

The partnership combines KaleidEO’s state-of-the-art, high-resolution optical payload technology, designed to deliver leading sub-meter imaging capabilities and AI analytics, SatSure’s established suite of downstream solutions and analytics stack, and ReOrbit’s EO satellite featuring optical inter-satellite link capabilities. Together, they aim to deliver high-resolution imagery capabilities to enterprises, governments, and asset owners on demand and ultimately, improve mission efficiency and facilitate networking among satellites.

During the announcement, Sethu Saved Suvanam, CEO and Founder of ReOrbit said “ReOrbit brings to the partnership the vision of the future of space applications where the transformation of satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms requires satellite systems to be defined by software, which facilitates a complete network integration – from space to ground. This future starts today, and our partnership with KaleidEO for High-Resolution imaging payloads and with SatSure for EO analytic platform and solutions fosters it, enabling us to provide a holistic space infrastructure-as-a-service to entities that need EO data for either business, sovereign or security requirements.”

Both Arpan Sahoo, COO of KaleidEO and Prateep Basu, Founder & CEO of SatSure & KaleidEO, echoed Suvanam’s sentiment and enthusiasm, emphasizing the transformative potential of Earth imaging datasets and the collaborative effort’s role in streamlining EO data delivery globally and discussing the partnership’s potential to democratize space and empower enterprises, governments, and asset owners with on-demand, high-resolution imagery capabilities.
