With over 500 confirmed attendees, this year’s conference promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet, featuring an incredible lineup of keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking panel discussions.

But that’s not all! UKSEDS members can purchase a one-day ticket, which they can redeem on any day of their choice, for £18 or a two-day ticket for just £22.

Non-UKSEDS members can either become UKSEDS members for free to benefit from the discount or buy a two-day ticket at £50. They also have the option to buy a one-day ticket redeemable on any day of their choice, for £40.

NSSC 2023 is set to host Ian Annett, Deputy CEO of the UK Space Agency, and Jenny Turvey, Strategic Space Policy Lead at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as keynote speakers. Either side of these keynotes, NSSC 2023 attendees will encounter a strong set of panellists.

One of these is the Entrepreneurship Panel & live podcast hosted by UKSEDS’ very own Isaac Caletrío. The weekend’s discourse will extend to a range of panels; ‘Your Path To The Stars’, ‘Moon Race 2.0’, ‘Diversity in Space Careers’, and ‘Building a Thriving Northern Space Sector’.

UKSEDS’ Preparing For Launch Podcast host, Isaac Caletrío says “Organising NSSC is our opportunity to show exactly what UKSEDS is about. All us volunteers coming together to assemble the best programme possible for students of any background interested in any aspect of space.”

As a reflection of UKSEDS’ efforts to implement a skills and training focused element to this year’s NSSC, participants will gain professionally-valuable experience from workshops; ‘Hunting Exoplanets: A JWST Workshop’, ‘CV Workshop & Speed Networking’, and ‘Designing an Off-World Habitat’.

Complementing this excellent programme are a myriad of talks on a diverse range of space-related topics including astrobiology, sustainable launch, space policy, and career development in the space industry.

The Chair of the Steering Board for GNOSIS, Katherine Courtney, speaking at this year’s conference,  describes NSSC as a place to  “Discover, learn, and connect with your peers and the industry. There’s a role for everyone in the space sector and NSSC is the place to find yours!”

NSSC 2023 is organised by UKSEDS, the UK’s national student space society. This volunteer-powered registered charity runs space projects and careers events, while doing outreach all over the country.
